Welcome Flows

Sell The Cost Of Doing Nothing.

Dan, Co-Founder · 2 Apr 2026 · 3 min read

TL;DR: The highest-converting late-flow angle we use: make the price of the unsolved problem vivid, and the product becomes the cheap option.

From the audit vault: Deployed across audits from supplements to occasionwear: the “true cost” email consistently outperforms a second discount when subscribers stall mid-flow.

Reframe the comparison

Stalled subscribers are comparing your price against zero, against doing nothing. The true-cost email changes the comparison: what does the problem cost as it stands? Poor sleep compounding through work weeks, an event outfit left to the last panicked day, protein goals quietly missed for another year.

Make it concrete, keep it honest

Generalities don’t move anyone. Use the specific pain the subscriber signalled at signup or through the ad they clicked, and put real texture on it. Honest urgency about a real cost reads completely differently from a countdown timer, and it converts without spending margin.

Place it late

This angle works after value, proof and product have been established, typically around email six to eight. It is the closer’s argument, not the greeting.

Ship this

Shift the comparison from “price vs zero” to “price vs the problem”.

Anchor it to the specific pain the subscriber signalled.

Deploy late in the flow, as the closing argument.
